Last year I asked Santa Claus
for a race car
I thought that I could get behind the wheel
and go anywhere
but I found out
that if you're a dog
you’re not allowed to drive
cos it’s against the law
it's not fair
but it's ok
because this year

I'm asking for a big red sleigh and eight reindeer for Christmas
so I won't have to ask my mother or my father
for a drive anymore I could go to the store
doggies in the back flying through the air
Santa if you're listening would you answer my prayers

Last year I asked Santa Claus
for a pair of skis
I thought that I could ski anywhere
that I pleased
but I found out that I had to have snow
and that I had to have a hill
or my skis wouldn't go
anywhere
so this year
guess what?

for a trampoline
I thought that I could fly though the air
like an airplane
but I found out
that whatever goes up
on a trampoline comes down
so guess what
this year
I'll make it clear
to Santa Claus
